Trashed Fashion

{{$t('general.by')}}
Inspired by the documentary "River Blue," this piece was created to illustrate the environmental impacts our clothing industry has on the rest of the world. Each component displayed on the digital quilt--from the river polluted with toxins to the mountain of wasted materials to the plumes of smoke--emphasizes the many repercussions that many do not think about when purchasing clothing. However, the silhouette of a factory in the background of this image also demonstrates that individual consumers are not to blame--wealthy corporations are largely responsible for this issue.
Click on each of the blue circles until the sky is completely filled with smoke, and move your mouse across the river to move the clothing!
